Pretty much as the name says – Nukkadwala has every one of the specialties from the diverse corners of the country lying under one rooftop. The spot has an enthusiastic ambiance with posters of various road sellers/street vendors on the walls which gives an extremely novel look. Seating zone is entirely decent with wooden furniture and eccentric lights. Managed by the Vatika group, This spot serves the value for money hygienic sustenance with the taste from the streets of India.
Situated at the Ground floor of the JMD Megapolis on Sohna Road Gurgaon, Nukkadwala is one great alternative to have quick bites with some refreshing beverages. Menu is very much composed with various specialties being picked up from the diverse piece of India. We began with burgers listed on the menu. Punjabi rooster burger is an enormous one with a flawless taste of chicken patty. East India burger is a veg burger with a well cooked veg patty and it tasted amazingly good.
Bun Anda was one of the best I had till date. Splendidly cooked egg with the right flavors gives it a stunning taste. Lassi (Papaya and Pineapple) was mind blowing. This beverage will be a hit as it has little pineapple pieces alongside the sweet lassi which turns out to be a special and wonderful blend. Meerut Shikaji and Lassi (Mango and Saffron) had an immaculate taste and were simply wonderful.
Kutchi Dabeli (Specialty from Kutch in Gujrat) was a joy to have. With the right portion of the stuffing, Dabeli just reminded me of the ones which I used to have in Pune. Authentic taste from the all parts of India is under one rooftop now. One of the best preperations I had at Nukkadwala was Kukkad pakoda – Chicken pieces pan fried with gram flour covering. It was very much arranged and cooked to perfection. Reri keema kulcha which had mutton keema presented with kulcha was not awful either. The amount that these folks serves make each meal a Value for Money deal.
Panki – The authentic Gujrati snack was extremely soft and freshly prepare. This is made by cooking the rice batter between banana leaves. Presentation was exceptionally pleasant and taste was extremely one of a kind. Amchi vada pao had a flawless taste for the vada and the dry garlic chutney was a quill on the top. In spite of the fact that the pao in NCR doesn’t have that genuine taste which is there in pao made in Maharathra yet this didn’t baffled here. It was delicate and blend was simply great.
Now coming to desserts – Bebinca (a tradition Goan dessert) is a kind of pudding which has distinctive layers and it tasted better than average at Nukkadwala. Shahi Tukda was sweet (which it should be) and exceptionally rich in taste. By this time, We had so much of food that Filter Kaapi (Filter coffee) was much needed at this our after tasting all these Indian specialties. Service was very prompt and staff was very well dressed up taking care of all the hygiene which is required at such places.
This place is definitely a must try for all. Nukkadwala has everything to offer for all the age groups and I have seen kids coming along with their grandmothers there to have a quick bite. This is a value for money place with not much damage to the pocket. Recommended to all my fellow foodies in town !!
