Supermart 1 is known for its food outlets serving the food from all corners of the world with different cuisines. Nosh is a new entrant to this place mastering in the Mughlai cuisine. Located at the first floor in Supermart 1, this place has a nice seating area with a capacity of around 25 people.
We went there for lunch over a weekend. Specialized in mughlai cuisine, their menu seems to have quite nice options available. We began with the butter tandoori chicken which was served in the authentic old delhi style. Loaded with butter and cream, this preparation was amazing.
Chicken Malai Tikka was soft and juicy. It was topped up with butter and cream which added to the flavor.Kakori Kebab was a superb preparation. Cooked to perfection and bang on with the taste. Loved it.
In mains, we tried their specialties from the mughal era. Haleem Biryani was another gem from their menu. Delicious and authentic preparation by the chef and it tasted amazingly good.Mutton Nihari was flawless with perfectly cooked mutton which reminded me of the taste from the lanes of old delhi.
Sheermal, The sweet bread from the old era was well baked with the right ingredients. Very rich in terms of calories, this was loved by all.
Paan Kulfi was the pick of the day for me. Damn good in flavor, this dessert has the paan wrapped inside the kulfi itself. Lovely piece of work by the chef.
Shahi Tukda was not upto the expectations as it was overcooked which gave it an overdose of smokey flavor.
Phirni was average and was lacking on the sweetness. Could have been better.
Verdict : This place is a nice option to satisfy your craving for mughlai food. The flavor is near to what you get in the old delhi lanes. Few of the preparations were absolutely mind blowing where as few were lacking in the taste. Overall, a good place to have hot and piping mughlai food this winter 😉
