When I heard of the name Handiwala, it came to my mind it would be yet another place which will be using the traditional handis to serve the food in this modern era.I was not wrong but what surprised me was the taste which was mind blowing. I never expected this place to be so good. I have tried so many places when it comes to mughai food but needless to say, Handiwala is in top 5 places in my list now ?.
I ordered few of their specialties from the menu which is very interesting. The food was delivered on time and the packaging was fantastic. Handi ka Panner which was rich panner gravy cooked in mughai spices and presented in a small handi, was superb in flavor.
Nihari was the another dish which was flawlessly cooked and had that aromatic and spicy hint in it. Mutton pieces were pretty well cooked and the taste was excellent.
Veg Biryani was one of the finest I had till date. Beautifully presented in the handi and covered with flour dough to make sure the aroma and flavor of dum cooking is intact. As soon as the lid was opened, the aroma of the mughlai spices was in the air. Layered rice along with the fabulous flavor makes this Biryani a perfect value for money meal.
Handi ki kheer was the perfect end to the lovely feast. Authentic in taste with the mix of cardamom and dry fruits was so delicious that it got vanished in less than 2 mins. ?
Verdict: Handiwala is a must try place for all mughlai food lovers. Their biryani is worth every single penny spent. The quantity and quality both are excellent. Recommended to all the fellow foodies in town.
