Located in the M block market of GK, Amalfi is a place run by a passionate couple with a desire to serve authentic Italian food in the town. I have been there for a dinner with few of my friends. This place has a nostalgic aura which is reminding of an old vintage house with some old lamps.
We started the meal with Inslata Mista al Formaggio, which is actually a salad with salty feta cheese, walnuts and some sour green apple. Loved it.
Pollo el Pesto, Grilled chicken with home made pesto sauce was fantastic. Flavor was bang on and I loved it to the core.
Pizza Basilico e Bocconcini and Affumicato pizza di Pollo, Both were the stars for that day. Thin crust pizza with that smoky chicken on top was a delight to have at Amalfi. Parmesan cheese was the feather on the cap and I cherished every bite of these pizzas.
Pizzas were accompanied with red wine sangria which was pretty well prepared.
Risoto con Misto Funghi was the mushroom Risoto loaded with cream. The flavor was just perfect.
Tiramisu, a traditional Italian dessert, was one of the finest I tasted till date. Presented in shot glasses, this was a fabulous thing to have towards the end of your meal.
Verdict: If you are looking for some authentic Italian place for dine in then Amalfi is a perfect choice.I recommend their thin crust pizzas to all the fellow foodies in town.
